HEALTH CHALLENGE 2012
Good health and wellness are not a bi-product of
Taekwon-Do training but one of its main goals.
"No doubt
one of life's most treasured assets is good health. Therefore, one of the great cardinal sins of mankind is the abuse of this
asset."
-General Choi Hong Hi condensed Encyclopedia of
Taekwon-Do pages 37-38.
Everyone is encouraged to take the Centennial Taekwon-Do Health
Challenge 2012 during the month of January. This is a great way to start the New Year and begin working enthusiastically
on your New Year's resolutions and goals. It is also an opportunity to get fit, lose wieght, learn perseverance, self
control and practice Goal Setting skills. This isn't just for students either, this is an awesome family activity!
Here's how it works. There are two challenges you may do either or
both. First we have the 1000 Repititions and Second the month long challenge
- 1000 repititions: this can be any type of physical activity such as push ups, sit ups, punches, kicks,
patterns, etc. Below you will find a downloadable tracking sheet divided into 10 - 100 sets for a toal of 1000
- Month long challenge: this can be a month without sugar or fast food or
caffine etc. Below you will find a downloadable calendar to track each days achievements
Here are some tips on Goal Setting:
- Set
reasonable goals that are challenging yet within reach
- Write
down the goal - "An unwritten goal is just a dream."
- Post the written goal where you can see it everyday as a reminder
- Share your goal with another person who will help remind you of what you are doing!
Good Luck and let me know if you have any questions. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
